Joseph K.

Hello, my name is Joey and I am currently a senior here at SHG. For much of my time in high school, I have been involved in many clubs including Scholastic Bowl, Math Team, Debate Club, Spanish Club, Christmas Club, and Science Olympiad.

My favorite part about SHG is how many opportunities it gives to the students to help us succeed. I have loved so many of the classes I’ve taken, the teachers I’ve had, and the people I’ve met. My favorite class I’ve taken during my entire time at SHG has been Film as Literature with Mr. Talken. In that class, we had so many interesting discussions about fascinating topics.

My advice to underclassmen is to make the most of your time at SHG while it lasts. The past four years have flown right by for me, and I can’t believe I will be graduating in just a few short months. Another piece of advice I would give to underclassmen is to go on Kairos when you get the chance. It is an extraordinary tradition that I think everyone should experience if they have the opportunity.

In my remaining months at SHG, I hope to continue doing well in my classes and make a good impression on as many people as possible.

Ileana S.

Hello! My name is Ileana and I am now a junior at Sacred Heart-Griffin High School.

This year, I have participated in many clubs and activities including Girls Golf, Christmas Club, Art Club, Student Ambassadors, and Student Council! I am also excited to have a role in the upcoming school musical and to play softball for SHG this spring.

My favorite part of SHG would have to be the tight-knit community of people that make up the school. In these past three years, I have enjoyed getting to know so many people and building friendships that mean the world to me. I also love the numerous opportunities and activities that SHG has to offer, which leads to my advice for the incoming freshman: Try to get involved in as many clubs, groups, or teams as you can! Although your academic life is important, it is very beneficial for your social life and overall well-being to keep yourself busy with extracurriculars.

Overall, remember to enjoy your time here and to take advantage of what is offered to you! I am eager to continue to grow here at SHG, to experience new things, and to focus on what I plan to pursue in college and my future career.

Aiden H.

Hello, My name is Aiden and I am a Sophomore here at SHG. I am an active guitarist and have been playing for 3 years.

My favorite part about SHG is the academics because they are challenging, but have taught me so much.

Some advice I would give to underclassmen is to work hard now to raise their GPA as high as possible so they will be more likely to get into their dream college later down the road.

In my future at SHG, I am looking forward towards graduation and continuing my journey of faith with this school.
